Check a van against attendance

Admins and Owners can open Van Location Check when reviewing an attendance record involving a company van.

1. Select the relevant week in the dashboard.
2. Choose a Timesheet event, checking the worker, site, date and whether it is a check-in or checkout.
3. Choose the Van.
4. Select Check Location.

The result shows the estimated vehicle position and its distance from the site. It also shows when the nearest GPS point was recorded, its time difference from the attendance event and other available history details.

Interpret the result

Check the time difference before drawing a conclusion. The vehicle’s position is estimated from tracker history and may not have been recorded at the exact attendance time. GPS timestamps in the result are labelled UTC.

This check does not change attendance or payroll hours. If you establish that a record is wrong, follow the adjustment process and review payable hours separately if needed.

If the lookup fails, read the message and check that the correct tracked vehicle was selected. Missing tracker history needs investigating before the comparison can be used.
